Out and about in June.

OK, OK, I know it's now July, but I took these pictures at the weekend and just had to share them with you. Now I am a fan of pink, a big fan of pink as many of you will know, however sometimes you can take things a little too far. So as a late addition to the 'Out and about in June' theme here's my contribution!

No do not adjust your screen brightness, they really are that colour!

There were matching hanging baskets and tubs but I found myself developing such a headache that I couldn't bring myself to photograph anything else.

I'm sorry, but I really want to see the hanging baskets and tubs as well. I insist!

Where did you take these?

Would you believe they are in the car park of a Garden Centre!

You're not getting anymore, I stopped at the beds. It was just too hideous to continue.

That looks remarkably like Whitehall Garden Centre to me. Do you know why? Because I took some very similar ones ready for the wrap-up post I'll be doing shortly! If it's not there, then what a coincidence...

I have a picture of the hanging baskets and tubs too, so jro won't be disappointed.

PS Many thanks for taking part - I'll add you to the links list :)

Sorry for jumping the gun VP, I just had to take them when I saw them, they were so bright I needed sunglasses. I normally don't mind their displays!

No problem - you got better shots than I did as the beds were half shadow/half sunlight at the time. You've saved me the dilemma of what to put on my wrap up post as I can now use the one I took of the tub reserving Mrs Self's car park space!

Am I right in thinking you used to live round here before moving back to Lincolnshire?

Indeed! I still have a house in Calne although I'm busy trying to sort out Tumbledown Farm. I do love Wiltshire and all its treasures.

We walked up Cherhill last week - I love the landscape past Calne - I always feel like we're entering another world!

I was impressed with the public planting in Calne - it's much better than Chippenham's. I shall be saying so in the wrap-up. In view of the intense Calne:Chippenham rivalry, I expect I'll get lynched! ;)

And Juliet - I was wondering how you'd cope with all the p*nk!

Yes sorry Juliet, I should have given you advanced warning!

The public planting in Calne has been very good in past years, I'm sorry to say I haven't really looked this year, but last years was beautiful and I spent all summer saying "I really must get some pictures."

The landscape between Calne and Marlborough is magical, I love traveling across the downs. There are always deer in the fields and the landscape is quite special. I can see the Cherhil white horse from my bedroom window in Calne.

The landscape around Tumbledown farm is very different, but I love it all the same :o)
