Wow! These pictures are GORGEOUS! I am always amazed at people who can capture butterflies with such splendor! I have yet to get one. Thanks for sharing your wonderful pictures.

I find it hard to get butterflies too but, I have found that there are two times when they are easier to capture. The first being when they are almost drunk on nectar and are so happy where they are they won't notice you creeping up on them. The second being just after a rain storm when they are feeling a little damp and shaken, I find they just tend to cling to the flower they are on and wait for the sun to dry them out before they flit off again.
